Bhubaneswar: Why should we celebrate women for just a single day when every day presents a new challenge for them? While a one-day celebration offers a moment of joy, its true purpose is to ignite a lasting passion—a drive to do something extraordinary for oneself, for society, and for the world in the days that follow. It is time to prove that a woman is never helpless; she is self-sufficient and complete.
With this vision, the Seba Prayas Foundation (SPF), led by the initiative of Linkan Subudhi, is organizing the grand “SPF Kalinga Beerangana Cricket League for Women” and Women’s Day Celebration 2026 from March 6th to 8th, 2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The primary objective of this three-day event is to strengthen the position of women in society through empowerment, self-respect, and sports.
Event Schedule & Details
The matches and celebrations will be held at the Hi-Tech Medical College Cricket Ground in Bhubaneswar:
- March 6 (Friday): Knock-out and Final matches for female students.
- March 7 (Saturday): Knock-out matches between various social organizations and teams.
- March 8 (Sunday): The Grand Celebration.
SPF Women’s Car Rally 2026
The final day will feature the high-energy SPF Women’s Car Rally. The rally will be flagged off at 7:50 AM from Aditya Motors – Mahindra, Pahala. It will cover a distance of approximately 10 km through Bhubaneswar city before concluding at the Hi-Tech Medical College Cricket Ground.
Grand Finale & Cultural Evening
The concluding day will also witness:
- The Grand Final of the SPF Kalinga Beerangana Cricket League, featuring famous women cricketers of Odisha.
- Cultural performances and entertainment.
- An Award Ceremony to honor outstanding achievers.
According to the Seba Prayas Foundation, this event aims to inspire women to take the lead in sports, social, and cultural sectors, sending a powerful message of empowerment and resilience to society.
