KIIT Shines in THE Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, Secures Global 101–200 Band
Bhubaneswar, June 25: KIIT Deemed to be University has achieved another major milestone by securing a place in the 101-200 global cohort in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026. The rankings assess universities worldwide based on their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to the university, KIIT ranked among the Top 100 globally in 11 SDGs and secured Top-50 global positions in eight SDGs. In India, the university claimed No. 1 rank in three SDGs-Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Life Below Water (SDG 14), and Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions (SDG 16).

The institution also recorded impressive performances in several other SDGs, including:
Global Rank 17 in Affordable & Clean Energy (SDG 7)
Global Rank 34 in Quality Education (SDG 4)
Global Rank 32 in Clean Water & Sanitation (SDG 6)
Global Rank 43 in Zero Hunger (SDG 2)
Global Rank 45 in Gender Equality (SDG 5)
Overall, KIIT has been placed 4th among Indian universities, reaffirming its position as one of the country’s leading institutions in sustainability and social impact.
Meanwhile, KISS Deemed to be University participated in the THE Impact Rankings for the first time and secured a place in the 401–600 global cohort, while ranking 7th in India. It also achieved notable subject-wise global positions, including 60th in Gender Equality and 90th in Quality Education.
The Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings are among the world’s most respected global assessments, measuring universities’ contributions towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals through teaching, research, outreach, and stewardship.
