Odisha Janta Congress Appoints Heads of Women, Youth, Farmer and Seva Wings

Bhubaneswar, July 1: The Odisha Janta Congress (OJC) on Wednesday announced the appointment of senior leaders to head four key organisational wings as part of its efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots network across the state.

The appointments were approved by OJC president Mohammed Moquim, who said the move is aimed at expanding the party’s organisational reach and enhancing public engagement.

Four Leaders Given Key Responsibilities

According to party sources, Shailabala Jena has been appointed president of the Odisha Mahila Janta Congress. She will lead the party’s women’s wing and spearhead campaigns on issues related to women’s safety, empowerment and welfare.

Sangram Kishore Majhi has been named chairman of the Odisha Krushaka Janta Congress, with the responsibility of strengthening the party’s outreach among farmers and addressing agricultural issues.

The party has also appointed Aryaveer Lenka as president of the Odisha Yuva Janta Congress, while Manoj Jena has been named chairman of the party’s Seva Sangathan, which focuses on social service and community outreach.

Organisation Expansion Drive

The appointments come as part of the OJC’s ongoing efforts to build its organisational structure ahead of future political activities in the state.

Party leaders said the newly appointed office-bearers will begin expanding district- and block-level committees in the coming weeks.

The Odisha Janta Congress (OJC) is a regional political party launched on April 15, 2026, by former Congress leader Mohammed Moquim.

The party was formed after Moquim’s expulsion from the Indian National Congress in December 2025. Since its launch, the OJC has projected itself as a regional alternative to the BJP, BJD and Congress, with a focus on youth participation, organisational reforms and state-specific issues.
